Hard Core of Islamist Activists Seized Ship Long before Israel

This surprisingly candid BBC Panorama documentary lays out the events surrounding the Mavi Marmara Turkish Flotilla designed to break the Gaza blockade, and the Israeli seizure of the ship.

The facts are presented with compelling video evidence and they are quite damning, but not for Israel as the media onslaught portrayed. Rather for the organizers, Turkey, and the IHH (now designated a terrorist supporting entity by Germany).

We learn..

• The Organizers were prepared to break the siege at all costs, sanctioned violence.
• Islamists seized the Ship before Israel arrived.
• Islamists prepared for martyrdom, violence, and an assault on the IDF.
• Turkey  was complicit.
• The so called AID was a farce, cover for a violent confrontation.
• The IHH set out to create a staged media disaster against Israel.
• Hundreds of passengers were used as pawns.
• Islamists sought to 1st lynch, then murder IDF troops.

Updating the BBC 9/11 story - which is a frightening glimpse into the clearly partisan, and frankly grotesque worldview of the tax payer funded BBC.

As an update –  The convoluted affair has now resulted in a changed 9/11 guide, this being now the 3rd version of the page. It is milder yet still poor in my own opinion, but whatever. Clearly at the BBC moral equivalence is par for the course, Al-Qaeda world reviled & recognized mass murdering terrorists cannot be termed as such, as cultural & moral relativism not too mention the endless Islamist sympathy seeping out of every pore of the BBC dictates that terrorists & America stay on equal footing, that judgement on mass murdering 3000 civilians be totally withheld.

The BBC’s version of reality being a nihilists wet dream come true and a shining example of the root causes for the decline of our Western civilization. Simply put the BBC is staffed by radically liberal maniacs, who’s sympathies clearly lie openly in the unholy-alliance between progressives and radical Islamists.

In case you feel differently, that is that the BBC is not an American hating, Israel bashing, group of Jew hating Islamist sympathizers - but actually an unbiased source for news, here’s a portion of the original 9/11 guide version 1. Where the Muslim apologist worldview is presented fully unvarnished, and where the real institutional wide sickness that pervades the BBC can be viewed openly.

That is that Israel, the Jews, and their American slaves caused 9/11, Israel mentioned 3 times in less than 100 words, blame it all on the Jews because the Arabs & the Islamic terrorists are always innocent & paragons of virtue at the BBC.. Sig Heil huh BBC?

The depravity of this pitiful News organization can’t get any lower than it already has. Here’s the BBC explaining to children all about 9/11, so they can grow up to be good little terrorists. Beyond the useful service they are providing worldwide to fuel rampant Anti-Americanism, rampant Anti-Semitism, is there any reason for this Islamist outfit to exist any more? It is certainly not a suitable place to get news, even for the kiddies it seems..

I’m surprised they didn’t mention the Jooz involvement in the whole affair.

The outrage is mounting at the frankly obscene reporting pouring out of the BBC. There are no more excuses - smirking BBC Editors, rambling deluded terrorist supporting anchors, they are about to be for the 2nd time in under 3 years now - written off by the State of Israel. (JPOST)

The Foreign Ministry is under pressure from Israeli citizens to resume its boycott of the BBC and to withdraw credentials from its reporters due to "one-sided" reports on the war in Lebanon, Israeli diplomatic officials said Wednesday.

For seven months during a wave of Palestinian violence in 2003, Israeli officials boycotted BBC news programs, declining interviews and excluding BBC reporters from briefings. The boycott was ended after the BBC appointed a panel to oversee its Middle East coverage and to ensure it would be unbiased. [...]

Senior diplomatic officials in Jerusalem went as far as saying that "the reports we see give the impression that the BBC is working on behalf of Hizbullah instead of doing fair journalism."

No more talk on every issue, JUST DO IT. There's no doubt, there's no question that the BBC is anti Israel in the extreme. Kick them out of the country on their ass, the reporting is already beyond abysmal so what will be, more abysmal!?

They are posessed with some sick moral equivalence, they believe it so deeply in fact they cannot see it. It's called institutional bias - they are a propaganda network of pure shod and everyone is talking about it plainly & openly yet they remain in total denial, so just cut them loose Israel.

The BBC, the World's biggest 'News' service is an embarrassment to the term news.

I have not been to the BBC website all that much in the conflict. I can't stomach it, not right now because it makes me want to retch and I know already what's there. Today I after hearing yet ANOTHER anchor on BBC World News TV pester a guest fishing to try and get him to call out Israeli war crimes, I decided to see what kind of disaster was brewing there. Lo and Behold what did I find? Let's take a look shall we..

To be clear about things. Here's the full photo of this page with the header graphics included in full, and not shrunk so it is clearer.

Let's examine:

The page is covered in Lebanon, Gaza, Arab, Muslim sympathy stories. There's Israeli attacks, American 'War Crimes', Lebanese aid, Hamas officials being abused, A LONE man injured in Gazan rocket incident, US troops smiling before killing people, Motorola warning about Lebanon, Hezbollah defiance.. I could go on and on. The point here is that what you see is Arab, Muslim sympathy dominated news not covering 90% of the page, not 91%, but 99%.

In Green on the photo a bounding box I created: To highlight the LONE sympathetic story about Israel itself, what is it about? Israel's general economy in conflict. What you won't find is any mention of the following from Israeli Headlines I took quickly TODAY, there are plenty more:

Three killed as Katyushas strike villages in north
3 IDF soldiers killed, 4 wounded in combat in south Lebanon
Katyusha barrage kills eight civilians
86 wounded in Friday barrages
More than 200 rockets fired at Israel from Lebanon on Friday

In fact even in the BBC 'Top Stories', there's not a single mention of a single Israeli wounded, or killed. Not a single mention of the THOUSANDS of rockets slamming into Israel, 200 Friday alone, nearly the same the day before, etc etc. It's all one BIG anti Israel, Anti America hate fest. The killing, rocketing, wounding of ISRAELI JEWS is SIMPLY NOT NEWS at the BBC.

There's not a link, not a story, not a word, in fact if you didn't know better you would think it is holiday time in Israel, not that 300,000 people have been turned into refugees in the North, not that the people with heroic resilience who stayed are living in BOMB shelters for 24 days now, not that thousands of rockets have been fired at Israeli civilians, 200 today alone, not that soldiers are heroically fighting and dying against a world recognized TERRORIST organization, not that Israeli civilians, 8 alone yesterday, more today have been murdered. Apparently, only the Defiance of Hezbollah matters.

I ask, is this not an embarrassment? It's not the first time I called out the BBC for being the 'British Bullshitting Corporation'. Here's another one where BBC editors respond to my embarrassing of them. And you know what? They deserve FAR FAR worse. Their response was that they were doing 'the best they could'. Well you know what? Your 'Best' is frankly pitiful.

I'm not scared to tango with you Mr. BBC, I welcome it.

For a few months now, I've noticed on the main page of Middle East coverage at the BBC, under the bright red right hand video / audio header a puff piece of Palestinian sympathizing video. Video that remained there day after day, and week after week.

It was not just absurdly sympathetic, lamenting the plight of poor slighted by Israel Palestinian 'teachers working for free' as the BBC termed it, photo and all.. But it was the only video feature on the WHOLE page.

Time for more 'uncoventional' action

We all know that writing the BBC accomplishes nil. Forget a reply, they I imagine delete this stuff on reception because frankly I've been writing them fair minded criticism for years now and have never even received a one word response. I decided (hat tip Atlas Shrugs for pointers to the blog) that I'd highlight this video bias publicly instead.

The video is now gone, replaced with nothing for the time being thankfully. We can make a difference for Israel in the realm of bias, that page and the propaganda piece was likely seen by hundreds of thousands if not easily a few million over the course of this video's endless stay.

Looking at Iran, I have noticed a particular trend. The ever present downplaying of the nuclear threat.

Every few weeks or so another expert or official will give another estimate on the time frames envisioned for Iran to develop nuclear weapons. I’ve noticed that the BBC will go to great length to extend this estimate, highlight the high end of it, or simply ignore entirely those estimates it feels I assume put too much heat on Iran. Looking at today, there’s an example of the "stretching" aspect:

Negroponte unveils his US official estimate

John Negroponte is the US national Director of Intelligence, in other words he’s the head spook and I say that in an endearing way. He was interviewed by BBC Radio, so they are the actual SOURCE of the story. Here’s how they title and frame his comments:

Iran bomb ‘within next 10 years’

Iran is determined to have a nuclear weapon and could possess one within 10 years, according to the top US intelligence chief.

Director of National Intelligence John Negroponte told BBC Radio’s Today programme Tehran could have a nuclear bomb ready between 2010 and 2015. [...]

Now, I noticed this because I had read the story at two other places, and the titles and header were quite different, much shorter in the time frame highlights..

Let’s look at the BBC which states and highlights the super high end of the estimate, within ‘10 years’ they report. Now I don’t know about you but 2006 is about halfway done, and negroponte’s statement matter of factly claims that in his informed view Iran is capable of having nuclear weapons by 2010 to 2015. Last time I checked 2010 was less than 4 years away, and Negroponte’s high end is less than 9 years away.

10 doesn’t factor whether you look high or low, but I guess it is convenient for the BBC to make it seem as though this threat is a big decade away at the minimum should you not inform yourself, other than a glance at the headlines and headers which is common for most readers not obsessed with planetary threats.

No Big Deal

So sure, the BBC is not lying, just twisting Negroponte’s words a bit and highlighting the time frames they might prefer you hear, as opposed to what Negroponte actually said. let’s peek at the competing UK Daily Telegraph, one of the largest UK Daily for their header on the same story, which cites the BBC Radio interview as its source.

A day after world powers agreed a plan to confront Iran, America’s top intelligence official has warned that the pariah state could have a nuclear bomb within four years.

John Negroponte, the director of national intelligence, said Iran – which has refused to suspend its uranium enrichment programme – could be a nuclear threat by 2010. [...]

There’s 4 years, which jives more with the math above. So is the editor of the BBC story an idiot unable to do simple math, or a really smart guy or chick with an Iranian sweet spot and the need to downplay the Iranian threat? Sure the wording, twisting and message is subtle, but that’s exactly how it is supposed to be, otherwise you’d probably notice that you are being turned into an ignorant uninformed boobhead by using the BBC for your news.

BBC – Don’t worry, be happy.
Spread some slight disinformation and label it news! 

Of course, such an individual might strenuously argue against any measures to deal with Iran now, since according to the head US spook himself, Iran is ten years away from any potential threat even possibly materializing, despite the fact that Negroponte feels such an event might be as near as 3.5 years away and requires immediate attention.

As a side note, yesterday many news outlets led a story about Iran’s reaction to American offers of talks. The BBC headline was ‘Iran cool to US offer’, the other headlines I saw were more informative, ‘Iran calls US offer Propaganda’, or ‘Iran rejects US offers’ etc, just another day at the boob, er beeb.
